We all know we need to drink two to three litres of water every day, but if you’re struggling to consume this much of the healthy clear stuff, help is at hand.

Fruit infusing water bottles are a big trend in the health and fitness world at the moment, plus with all the latest on-the-go designs, you can sip away at your desk, in the gym, at yoga or on the sofa.

These clever contraptions have an insert which holds lots of fruit inside the water, infusing your H20 with the flavours and even some of the nutritional benefits too. Plus, you could always eat the fruits afterwards to gain all the nutritional and fibre goodness, helping you hit another RDA.

The standard 800ml capacity size means you can aim to drink three bottles.

For some ideas, we at Hairy Bikers’ Diet Club HQ love adding lemons, oranges, limes, mint leaves, strawberries, cucumber and kiwi. Or give your water an autumnal feel with blueberries, blackberries and apples. Be your own mixologist extraordinaire.

Here’s a few of our favourite fruit-infusing water bottles…

This popular choice is BPA free, dishwasher safe and available in 8 colours so you’re sure to find one to suit your exercise attire. Its useful size also means it fits into your car cup holder or better still, your bike bottle holder.

Simply remove the fruit infuser, fill it with your chosen fruits and let it steep in the water for two minutes. Plus, it is suitable to be used for hot teas too.

If you’re not sure what fruity concoctions to make, this one is for you. Each bottle comes complete with a recipe book containing 50 fruit-infusing ideas, so you’ll soon be a pro.

Available in five bold colours, it also boasts a useful flip top. And if you just want a standard water bottle, simply remove the infuser insert.

What we liked about this one, was the useful handle on the top to make it easy to carry (we know, it’s the small things in life!). But if you’re carrying it to work or the gym, this really is a plus point.

Like most, this continues to be BPA free, with a removable insert and 800ml capacity. Three hues of red, black and blue make it a great unisex option.

If ice-cold water is what you crave after a workout, this is for you.

Simply fill the pouch with water and freeze for a couple of hours, then put it back in your bottle, use the citrus squeeze top to add a zest of lemon, orange or lime, replace the flip top cap and you’re away.

Alternatively, create your own fruity ice ball to put in any water bottle. Simply add some fruit pieces into the mould, fill with water, freeze and then add it to your water for ice-cold, fruit-infused H20.

Not only do you get the flavour of the fruit, the ice balls take longer to melt than regular ice cubes, so they keep water cooler for longer.
